Apple Watch has a new waterproofing feature that will prevent it from becoming a case of accidental water damage.
Apple says the feature will make it easier to protect your iPhone from water damage during transit, when using your iPhone while wearing a water-resistant case, and when you’re using your phone while holding it underwater.
Apple says that the feature is “built for the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s Plus” and will “protect your phone from splash and splashing while submerged.”
This is the first time Apple has offered a waterproofing option on a watch.
Waterproofing has been a hot topic recently with the iPhone 6S and iPhone SE both experiencing waterproofing issues.
We covered how to properly remove the iPhone’s case from your iPhone 7 before its waterproofing came to an end, and Apple has said it is working on a solution for the next iPhone.
