Apple Watch 2, watch upgrade options, WatchOS 3.1, and more Apple Watch owners are looking forward to the upcoming iPhone upgrade, but a new report claims the next model may not include Apple Watch bands.
The Wall Street Journal has published a story citing a person familiar with the matter who claims the company will not upgrade the watch bands.
Instead, Apple will release a new device in 2019 called the “iPhone 8.”
The article states the Apple Watch will have the same battery life and connectivity features as the iPhone 7, and will also be cheaper than the iPhone 8.
The iPhone 8 will have a “super thin” form factor, and “could be more expensive than the iPad Pro,” the article claims.
The article goes on to say the new iPhone will have “better specs than the Apple watch, but at a fraction of the price.”
